Project Overview The University of Edinburgh’s centralised School of Informatics (originally located in 5 different buildings) opened in September 2008 in the city centre. The new facility greatly improves academic interaction, as it houses a mixture of meeting rooms, offices, specialist laboratories, as well as a large internal atrium at the heart of the building. Project architect, Bennetts Associates of Edinburgh, specified C/S Pediluxe entrance mats for this busy facility. Mats were installed in recessed matwells in five entrance areas to the building. C/S Pediluxe system incorporates 17mm deep aluminium rails. An option with interior grade textile inserts was chosen for the school to allow for efficient removal of dirt and moisture from the soles of shoes of staff, students and visitors. C/S mats are highly effective, very durable and easy to maintain.
